Noah Cyrus and Tana Mongeau dressed up as former BFFs Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton, respectively, for a Halloween party Saturday.
The close pals stunned in glistening dresses as they stepped out for a fun night in Hollywood, California. Cyrus sported long, black extensions and a gold mini-dress, while Mongeau rocked a silver number with a plunging neckline. They also wore face masks that matched their outfits.
“the most iconic duo as the most iconic duo. @noahcyrus and i as @kimkardashian & @parishilton,” Mongeau captioned a photo of their Halloween costumes and a throwback snap of Kardashian and Hilton on Instagram.
Mongeau uploaded the same photos on Twitter and wrote: “when u copy ur friends math homework but change it a little.”
“KIM K,” Cyrus captioned her own Instagram post, which has received over 347,000 likes as of writing.
Kardashian seemingly approved of their costumes as she retweeted an article about the pair’s outfits.
Although Mongeau and Cyrus’ costumes received praise on social media, there were some who didn’t approve of their looks.
“Girl, you look nothing like her,” one follower commented on Cyrus’ post.
But the 20-year-old defended her costume, saying, “Halloween u buy a costume or dress up as someone n u usually don't magically get their facial features with it.”
This is hardly the first time Cyrus has stirred controversy with an outfit.
During the 2020 CMT Music Awards, the younger sister of Miley Cyrus donned a sheer bodysuit with rhinestones that left little to the imagination. Cyrus paired the see-through outfit with white gloves, boots and a cowboy hat. She rocked the ensemble while she and Jimmie Allen performed their single “This Is Us.”
The performance received rave reviews, but the same can’t be said of her attire, which some described as inappropriate. One fan told Cyrus to “put some clothes on,” echoing others who didn’t approve of her sartorial pick.
“I know this is 2020 and anything goes now, but c’mon @CMT I lost so much respect for you letting @noahcyrus perform wearing practically nothing at all. That was so inappropriate and NOT at all what women should be representing!!!” another wrote.
“my body my choice, b***,” Cyrus responded to critics.
