Nokia Launches 'Multimedia Computer' phone
Nokia said on Thursday that it started shipping a new phone to selected markets which features integrated global positioning capabilities and a number of multimedia functions.
The Finnish firm is shipping its new N95 series phone to European, Asian and Middle Eastern markets, with expanded shipments to other markets in the coming weeks..'
It easily replaces a number of single purpose devices with a well designed package that is with you and connected, said Juha Putkiranta, senior vice president at Nokia. The Nokia N95 is the ultimate multimedia computer and a fantastic example of what Nokia Nseries devices can deliver,
The mobile phone comes in a slider-type package, with a 5-megapixel camera for shooting photos and 30-frames-per-second video. It has a 2.6-inch screen, and comes with an MP3 music player and a MicroSD memory card slot.
The unit can also connect to GPS networks, allowing users to find restaurants, gas-stations and other locations from their device.
