The incident comes weeks after a Maryland man stabbed his son. The 11-year-old boy rushed to his neighbor’s home to get help following which the neighbor alerted the police. Officers arrived and rushed the boy to a local hospital after they noticed a puncture wound on the victim’s upper body. Investigation revealed the boy was stabbed by his father. When the officers attempted to arrest the father, he resisted arrest and injured one of the officers. He was eventually taken into custody.
In another incident in May, a Michigan woman was arrested for fatally stabbing her 3-year-old son. Police responded to a home and found the boy lying in a pool of blood with a stab wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigation revealed that the victim lived with his mother, who was last seen five days before the boy was found dead. Following a search, the woman was arrested from a hotel and charged with premeditated murder, murder, child abuse, and torture.
