Not Feeling Well? Can't Leave the Office? The Doctor Will See You Now
Medicine At Work, the first company to enable physician services to the workplace using advanced video telemedicine technology, has secured full-time physician staffing for its clients. All services are provided by emergency medicine and internal medicine physicians who are board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Medicine At Work(TM) combines innovative medical instruments, telecommunications equipment, and, through its retained physicians, delivers professional healthcare services directly to employees at their place of work. Using two-way video, the doctor providing services through Medicine At Work conducts examinations in real-time with the assistance of a specially trained on-site paramedic.
Medicine At Work has contracted with eCareGroup PLLC, an independent physician group based in Houston, Texas, to provide services for Medicine At Work clients. The eCareGroup's physicians provide care via Medicine At Work's advanced video telemedicine systems whenever needed and, to maximize availability, eCareGroup's doctors follow the important premise of the non-distracted provider - meaning they have no other duties when providing this service.
Melody Reid, Executive Director for Employee Health Services at NuPhysicia, LLC, the company that created Medicine At Work, said, We believe that eCareGroup, PLLC is the first to offer this advanced level of service. Doctors are on duty and available throughout the workday via live, two-way videoconferencing. These doctors stand ready to see patients, diagnose their illness or injury, recommend care and treatment, and prescribe medications when required.
The eCareGroup physicians providing medical services for Medicine At Work clients have over 135 years of combined medical experience, primarily in the field of emergency medicine. All are board-certified, and some have dual certification in other specialties such as family medicine, cardiology, pulmonology, and nephrology.
