NSFW Sexting Emoji Created, Because Apparently We Needed It
Four designers from California have developed sexy emoji, because the ones that come on your iPhone are clearly not nearly explicit enough. They’re called Flirtmoji, or “emoji you copy, paste and send to lovers.”
The provocative designs are not for the faint of heart, or for people offended by cartoonish images depicting sexual acts. Flirtmoji aren’t found in the App Store due to Apple’s strict policy against graphic material, so the designs went on sale Friday on the group’s website.
Flirtmoji describes itself as images that “you copy, paste, and send to lovers.” The group sells six different sets of 15 emoji for $0.99, ranging from the modest to the explicit: a chocolate-covered strawberry emoji is offered along with one depicting two women sharing a double-sided dildo.
One emoji set, called “Teen Dream,” is described thusly: “The sweetness. The pining. These nostalgic emoji will take you straight back to those hot & heavy adolescent years.” It includes heart-shaped lollipops and a woman’s bare buttocks, slightly covered by a short schoolgirl skirt.
The project, its creators say, “is a visual language designed to empower people of all sexualities to communicate their desires, concerns, and flirtations.” The four artists are located in the California Bay Area.
