Retailers and restaurants nationwide are recognizing hardworking teachers and nurses this week in honor of National Teacher Appreciation Week and National Nurses Week. What freebies are available this year? While some big chains, such as Dunkin’ Donuts, are not participating, there are several freebies available in 2015.

RESTAURANTS

Cool Beans

The North Carolina-based coffee shop Cool Beans - Coffee, Custard And More is giving nurses and teachers a free cup of coffee this week. They’re also selling discounted lattes, frappes, smoothies, milkshakes and sundaes for $2.99.

Larkburger

The West Coast burger chain Larkburger is giving away a small free burger to teachers on Tuesday, May 5, and nurses on Wednesday, May 6. There is only one free burger allowed per order. The offer is valid for dine-in orders only and cannot be combined with any other promotions. A valid nursing badge and a “district issued” teacher ID is required to redeem this offer.

Cinnabon

Some nationwide Cinnabon locations will be giving away one free Cinnabon Classic Roll or MiniBon roll to nurses who present their healthcare ID badge. The promotion runs from May 6 through May 12 and is valid only while supplies last. Contact the Cinnabon nearest to you to find out if they’re participating in the Nurses Week promotion.
