NY Giants hold bigger workouts at NJ high school
The bulk of the New York Giants football team gathered for workouts at Bergen Catholic High School, in Oradell, N.J. this week, defying the heat and the lockout. The players reportedly engaged in two hours of drills, sprints and some plays, though not at full speed.
Quarterback Eli Manning and his receivers earlier met for some practice at Hoboken High School.
The players refused to answer questions from reporters but center Shaun O'Hara said the players may talk on Friday after the mini-camp was over. The National Football League is currently experiencing a lockout created by team owners who refuse to let players work until a new collective bargaining agreement is in place. The NFL owners and the players association continue to have confidential discussions to resolve the dispute.
