NYC Restaurant Week - Everything You Need To Know!

New York City's Summer Restaurant Week is officially upon us for the next TWO WEEKS, with over 300 restaurants offering prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus at severely discounted rates.

The 3-course prix-fixe price tag is at 2006 rates with lunch starting at $24.07 and dinner at $35.00.

Bookings opened almost two weeks ago, but that doesn't mean you'll be left out in the heat. You can book most reservations online at www.nycgo.com/restaurantweek, though some restaurants ask that you phone directly.

Restaurant week began back in 1992 with 95 restaurants and has grown to 320 for the 2011 event. Restaurant Week meals can be hit or miss, but while some use the occasion to skimp, most use it to show off their great food.

The great deals last for two weeks only and end on Sunday July 24.
