Coming into the 2019 NFL season, both the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens were expected to be two of the conference’s elite teams. Little has changed over the course of the first 11 weeks of the NFL regular season and the bookmakers still favor both clubs to make the AFC Championship game.

At 9-1 the Patriots are leading the AFC standings and there is little doubt over their claim on the AFC East title. FiveThirtyEight gives them a 98 percent chance to win their division with only the 7-3 Buffalo Bills with a chance at catching New England.

Meanwhile, the Pats have nearly also secured a first-round bye and their chances of securing that are a hefty 93 percent and they are also favorites to win the Super Bowl at the time of writing with a 25 percent probability.

The Baltimore Ravens are in a similar, albeit less secure, situation. Their 8-2 record is good for second-best in the AFC and they also have the second-best chances at winning the Super Bowl (19 percent) and securing a first-round bye (81 percent).

Their probability of winning the AFC North is very good with a 96 percent chance of victory. The odds around the Ravens winning their division are also very healthy with the FanDuel Sportsbook giving them a line of -6,000. Their next closest rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, have odds of just +3,000.

The New England Patriots also have great odds around them. Their -7,000 money line to win the AFC East is by far the most secure out of the divisional races after NFL week 11. The Bills come in with odds of just +2,500.

Bill Belichick’s team is rightly the favorite to win the Super Bowl. Their FanDuel odds reflect that with a money line of +100 at the time of writing compared to the Ravens with a line of +210. The only team that is anywhere close to these odds is the Kansas City Chiefs.

Andy Reid’s team has a money line of +600 to win the AFC this season. Other AFC hopefuls are far further adrift, for example, the Houston Texans (+2,100), Indianapolis Colts (+2,700) and Buffalo Bills (+3,900).

As one would expect, all this means that the Patriots are also favorites to win the Super Bowl with a line of +290 with the Ravens at +500. For comparison, the NFC team with the best odds is the New Orleans Saints whose line comes in at +550.
