Original Story:
A "horrific" shooting in an Ohio town has killed one woman and injured eight people, including three children, police say. One of those people is in critical condition according to Cincinnati’s NBC affiliate WLWT. The shooting took place at a gender-reveal party, a type of baby shower when expectant parents reveal the gender of their future child to friends and family. One pregnant woman who was shot in the leg reportedly lost her baby, according to Cincinnati’s ABC affiliate, WCPO Sunday. The victims were allegedly shot while watching a movie.
The shooting took place in Colerain Township Saturday night around 11:30 p.m. There is no one in custody at this point, and police are working on investigating the case. Currently, there is no known motive. WCPO reported Sunday that witnesses saw two men leaving the scene of the crime and were reportedly hooded.
“Two guys just came in and shot people in the house,” a witness told the police dispatcher, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. “There was little kids hurt and everything. I was sitting in my car. They just ran in and started shooting. There’s a pregnant girl here.”
Victims were taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Jim Love, a spokesperson for the police told WCPO that police are tracking down several leads. The two men that witnesses saw leaving the house are still at large.
“You’re hoping that there won’t be situations like this,” said Love. “These are the nights that you look back on and you regret that they ever happened. This will be one of those nights.”

According to Love, the first cop on the scene called what he saw “horrific.”
“He said ‘it was just horrific, something that was unimaginable,’ and when he started calling for help, he said ‘ what am I supposed to say, I’ve got a lot of people shot. I need people to help me out here,’” said Love.
