OJ Simpson Owes $318 in Back Taxes, California Says
O.J. Simpson, notorious former football player, movie actor and accused wife-killer, owes more than $300,000 in taxes to the state of California, according to reports from TMZ.
Since Simpson has failed to pay the taxes, dating from 2000, a new lien has been filed against him.
He is currently serving a 33-year prison term in Nevada for armed robbery and still owes $318,566.04 in unpaid taxes from 12 years ago, according to documents recently filed by the California Franchise Tax Board.
Simpson's financial troubles were reportedly was part of the reason he robbed a Las Vegas Nevada residence in the first place.
He had a federal lien filed against him for the years 2007-2010, for $179,435.07 and that’s not including the millions of dollars he still owes the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman for causing their deaths under a civil suit, even though he was acquitted of the 1994 crimes.
Other than his financial issues, Simpson has been in the news recently when a rumor broke that he was the biological father of Khloe Kardashian. The rumor escalated when side-by-side pictures of Kardashian and Simpson’s daughter, Sydney, showed a remarkable likeness.
Multiple reports alleged that Simpson had changed his will to include Kardashian, but after the most recent allegations about Simpson being broke, it seems unlikely that he would have anything left to give her.
The reality star has disputed the rumors and maintains that the late Robert Kardashian, a close friend of Simpson and one of his lawyers, was her biological father even though she refuses to take a DNA test that could prove it once and for all.
