Florida- based Olive Garden is causing a stir this week with a unique promotion. On Thursday, alongside the return of Never Ending Pasta Passes, the popular Italian restaurant chain will be offering a select few customers a new Lifetime Pasta Pass.
Here’s what you need to know about the chain's new offer.
Olive Garden, which has more than 800 locations, will issue 24,000 Never Ending Pasta Passes. These passes are good for nine weeks of unlimited pastas, sauces, and toppings from the chain’s Never Ending Pasta Bowl menu, complete with unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks. These passes will cost $100 plus tax each.
Additionally, 50 customers will be chosen for the chance to buy Lifetime Pasta Passes. These special new passes will offer the same perks for the rest of the customers’ lives. These passes will cost $400 plus tax.
The sale for these passes will be held on PastaPass.com starting at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Customers are encouraged to show up five minutes early to get a competitive edge. The sale will last for 30 minutes or until the Never Ending Pasta Passes sell out, whichever happens first. Olive Garden recommends that browser-based customers use Safari, Chrome, FireFox, or Internet Explorer for the best results, while mobile customers should stick to Safari and Chrome.
During the buying process, those interested in acquiring the Lifetime Passes will check a box during check-out to opt in. Of those who opt in, 50 will receive a message inviting them to purchase the superior $400 pass.
