Oliver Hudson, Kurt Russell Photographed Together After Bill Hudson Father’s Day Drama

Actor Oliver Hudson was photographed with his step-dad Kurt Russell during a golf outing on Wednesday. It was the first time the “Nashville” and “Scream Queens” star was spotted after publicly getting disowned by his biological father, Bill Hudson.

Us Weekly obtained the photos from Pacific Coast, which show the duo smiling at a golf course in New Orleans. Oliver Hudson is the son of musician Bill Hudson and actress Goldie Hawn. However, Kurt became a father figure to the actor after Bill and Goldie divorced in 1980.

He caused a stir on Father’s Day after posting an Instagram message addressing Bill. “Happy abandonment day,” Oliver captioned an image of Bill next to him and his sister, actress Kate Hudson. Oliver later added a photo of Kurt, his mother’s long-time partner. “Happy Father’s Day, Pa,” he wrote. Kurt and Goldie have been in a relationship since 1983, but the two never wed.

The Instagram photos made waves on the Internet – and Bill ultimately addressed the abandonment claims in an interview with The Mail. Bill told the outlet that his two children with Goldie Hawn are “no longer a part of my life.”

“I say to them now, ‘I set you free,’” he said. “I had five birth children but now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own.”

Bill went on to add that Oliver’s post was a “malicious, vicious, premeditated attack.” He also claimed that that his ex was the reason that the family “drifted away.”

“Goldie wanted to create this myth of a perfect family with Kurt and she wanted me out,” he continued.
