Olivia Ambrose Abduction: Boston Woman Found Alive In Suspect’s Apartment
Olivia Ambrose, a 23-year-old Boston woman, was found alive Tuesday after disappearing from a bar on Saturday.
Ambrose had gone to Hennessy’s bar with her twin sister Franny to see a rock band perform, the Boston Globe reported. The girls left separately, leaving questions about Ambrose’s disappearance.
Ambrose reportedly left Hennessy’s on Saturday at 11:04 p.m. with a man that was not involved in her disappearance. Approximately 40 minutes later, she was spotted on surveillance video with two men that invited her to walk with them. It did not appear that she went willingly with the men, Boston Police Commissioner William Gross said in a press conference.
In the surveillance video, one of the men is shown walking ahead of Ambrose while the other, who is suspected to be Victor Pena, had his arm around her. They were headed toward the MBTA State Street Station. Pena was then seen leaving the Bunker Hill Community College Station in Charleston with Ambrose just before midnight that evening.
A report of Ambrose’s disappearance came Sunday evening when her sister could not get a hold of her by phone. Ambrose was found by police at 3 p.m. on Tuesday in Pena’s apartment and was taken to an area hospital for an evaluation.
Pena was arrested for Ambrose’s alleged abduction. He will be arraigned Wednesday at the Charlestown District Court for charges of kidnapping. Pena has previously been involved in incidents of alleged menacing interactions with women, according to officials.
While Pena’s criminal history has not yet been determined by the Boston police, neighbors of Pena’s told the Boston Globe that he has catcalled and parked in front of one’s house, made noises at a 14-year-old neighbor’s daughter, and followed her on his bike.
Police are still looking for the other man in the surveillance video to determine if he is a suspect in the case.
