‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 4 Spoilers: Emma And Hook's Relationship To Hit A Roadblock
"Once Upon A Time" fans rooting for “Captain Swan” might want to hold off on rejoicing over their romantic connection. Despite Emma Swan and Captain Hook’s seemingly happy ending during the Season 3 finale, the pair will be hitting some roadblocks in Season 4.
“OUAT” co-creator Adam Horowitz told TV Line that the new couple will encounter some “challenges” when the fourth season starts.
“The very first obstacle is Emma’s guilt over the fact that she just destroyed Regina’s relationship [with Robin Hood],” Horowitz teased of the upcoming drama. “So there’s a part of her that feels guilt in starting a new romance of her own.”
Viewers will remember that Hook and Emma were transported to the Enchanted Forest of the past thanks to Zelda’s pesky portal. In a risky twist, the pair had to work together to find their way back to the future … without changing the past. Unfortunately Emma couldn’t play by the rules, and ended up freeing a mysterious woman from Regina’s imprisonment. In order to make sure that the future stayed the same, Hook and Emma decided that they had to bring the mystery woman back to Storybrooke with them. And that’s when “Once Upon A Time” fans learned that the woman Emma freed was none other than Maid Marian, Robin Hood’s dead wife.
Needless to say, Regina was not happy that Emma put her happily ever after with Robin Hood at risk. And according to E! News, the rivalry between the two ladies will become “FIERCE” … despite Emma’s best intentions.
“It makes sense that we’re going back to a place where these two women are going to be adversaries,” Emma’s Jennifer Morrison previously told TV Line. “Emma definitely wants Regina to be with Robin, and she never would have intentionally done anything to hurt that. But she’d also never let someone die in the circumstance that [Marian] was in.”
Emma and Regina’s new rivalry doesn’t mean that there is no hope for “Captain Swan.” Morrison has dished that the pair are in “a good place to start a relationship.” But as Horowitz puts it, “It’s not like they’re going to suddenly go to order Chinese and watch Netflix.”
Season 4 of “Once Upon A Time” will premiere on ABC in September 2014. What do you think about Emma and Hook’s relationship? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section or send a tweet to @AmandaTVScoop.
