ONE Championship Bares Full Schedule Of Live Events Airing On Amazon Prime

ONE Championship is making its way back to North American waters thanks to its partnership with Amazon Prime Video that was announced back in late April.

Marie Donoghue, vice president of global sports video at Amazon, commented on their partnership with the Singapore-based combat sports promotion.

“As the new, exclusive home of ONE Championship across the U.S. and Canada, we are thrilled to bring these unique, multidisciplinary events to fans,” she initially stated.

“Martial arts fans are incredibly passionate and engaged, and we look forward to providing them with the best in combat sports as ONE Championship makes its prime-time debut on Prime Video this fall.”

The first card that will be airing live on Prime Video, dubbed “ONE on Prime Video 1: Moraes vs. Johnson II,” will take place on August 26.

The other cards are slated to happen on the following dates and times, all of which are still subject to change:

• September 30, 9:00 PM EDT
• October 21, 9:00 PM EDT
• November 18, 9:00 PM EDT
• December 2, 9:00 PM EDT

ONE on Prime Video 1 will be headlined by Demetrious Johnson hoping to exact revenge on Adriano Moraes for the world flyweight championship.

Joining them atop the marquee is bantamweight Muay Thai bantamweight king Nong-O Gaiyanghadao looking to defend his title against the United Kingdom’s Liam Harrison.

ONE chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong also spoke about the partnership with Prime Video and how massive the rematch between Moraes and Johnson actually is.

“The first time that Adriano Moraes and Demetrious Johnson met inside the Circle, no fans were allowed in the arena due to COVID-19. This time, the fight will be in a packed arena with millions watching around the world, and there could not be a better way to launch our U.S. prime-time events,” said Chatri.

“We know that ONE brings an incredible and unique experience for fight fans; something completely different from what American audiences have seen before. We are excited to celebrate the wide range of martial arts disciplines and showcase the world's best competitors on Prime Video.”

With four more cards set to air after ONE Championship’s Prime Video debut on August 26, fight fans can expect the organization’s best fighters to make an appearance on the upcoming cards.
