One Direction Reveals ‘Made In The AM’ Album Release Date; Which Tracks Can Fans Download With Pre-Order?
One Direction fans can start buying the group’s next album right now. The band went on Twitter Monday to reveal that “Made in the A.M.” has a release date and is already available for pre-order.
“As a little treat, you can get album track ‘Infinity’ instantly,” Harry Styles said in a video on Twitter.
Many Directioners have already taken up the offer. Two hours after the announcement hit Twitter, the deluxe edition of the album was sitting in the No. 2 spot on iTunes’ Top Albums chart and “Infinity” hit No. 1 on the Top Songs list. In addition, fans can also download One Direction’s first single off their fifth album, “Drag Me Down,” which was released in July. Both songs will download immediately for those who pre-order the album.
Even those who don’t pre-order “Made in the A.M.” can listen to “Infinity.” It is available for individual download and streaming. Listen below:
John Ryan, Jamie Scott, and Julian Bunetta wrote the new single, Entertainment Weekly reports. They are also the writers of 1D’s platinum 2013 single “Story of My Life,” so this could be another massive hit for the quartet.
Listeners will have to wait a little longer to hear the rest of the 13-track album. The pre-order page revealed that the album will be released on Nov. 13.
The decision to release a track titled “Infinity” could be a strategic move on the band’s part. Lately, rumors have suggested that the group’s future is anything but imminent. Since Zayn Malik left the band earlier this year, reports of a breakup have been swirling. Despite the gossip, Niall Horan has assured fans that although they’ll take a hiatus in 2016, they’ll one day return.
