Four years ago, the popular boy-band One Direction went on an indefinite hiatus. And ever since then, all their fans have been eagerly waiting for the moment when the One Direction boys will reunite and record a new song.

Although Harry, Louis, Niall, and Liam have gone their separate ways, their fans are still holding on to the hope that someday these boys will reunite.

And Louis Tomlinson has finally given the people what they have been waiting for, hope!

The 27-year-old former One Direction member recently opened up during an interview with ODE Entertainment, and he mentioned that a band comeback is definitely going to happen at some point.

Knowing full well that the question on the band's much-awaited reunion will inevitably come at some point during the interview, Louis cheekily said: "Believe me I've heard this question before."

And he continued "Yeah, I do think it'll happen. And I'd certainly have something to say about it if it didn't. But I think it's inevitable."

But, he also mentioned that the timing of the reunion is something none of the boys know as of now since he feels that at this moment, it is imperative that Harry, Niall, Liam, and Louis first focus on their individual careers.

"But 'when' is the big question. And that's something that none of us really know the answer to at the moment. I feel like, what's most important is when we do get back together, we're all on the same page, and we all have done what we want to do individually. And I think that's vitally important for when we get back. It's just 'when' as far as I'm concerned, but I don't know the answer to the question 'when' yet," he added

And why not, a little more waiting around wouldn't hurt right?

Well, looking back in time at the time he spent in the band, Louis further added, "When I look back on One Direction and the memories that we had, it's only incredible memories. I think we got to a place musically, especially on the last two albums, that we felt really proud of. We started off as a boy band and where we ended up musically was a very different place. I'm really proud of those times, definitely."

Ever since the band announced its hiatus in 2015, the boys have gone on to individually release solo music, with Harry Styles even trying his hand at acting.
