One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson Welcomes Baby With Briana Jungwirth Days After 'My Love' Instagram Post

The One Direction family just got a little bigger as Louis Tomlinson is officially a dad. The 24-year-old singer has welcomed his first child.

While Tomlinson has yet to address the child’s arrival or release a name, People reports that a source close to Briana Jungwirth has confirmed she welcomed a son with the performer in Los Angeles this week. The baby's arrival comes five days after Jungwirth expressed her desire to meet her little one on what is believed to be her Instagram page. “So ready for you my love!!” she captioned a shot of her exposed baby bump.

A source tells People that Tomlinson is “happy” and “excited” about being a dad. He is also said to consider Jungwirth, who he briefly dated in May 2015, as “close friend” and someone will be an "amazing mother.”

After rumors he was expecting a child surfaced in July 2015, Tomlinson confirmed the news one month later during a “Good Morning America” appearance. “Obviously, it’s a very exciting time,” he said of impending fatherhood. “I’m buzzing.”

Throughout her pregnancy, Jungwirth, who works as a stylist, was spotted out and about with Tomlinson's family on several occasions. She was photographed showing off her baby bump while attending a One Direction concert in London in September 2015. According to J-14, two months later, she was spotted out and about with Tomlinson’s brood shopping in Los Angeles.

Tomlinson’s baby's arrival comes at a time when he’ll be able to focus on fatherhood. After five years together, Tomlinson and his bandmates, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne, announced One Direction would be goign on hiatus last year. Despite rumors of a breakup, insiders close to the group insist the group has plans to reunite.
