'One Piece' 973 On Break, Traitor's Identity; Luffy Or Joy Boy?

Initially, "One Piece" Chapter 973 was scheduled to arrive on Mar. 1, 2020, but it seems that the Manga would be on break this weekend. The most recent chapter of the popular Manga series showed how Oda turned Oden from a fool to a legend. The upcoming "One Piece" chapter might reveal the traitor's identity and the end of the Wano arc.

Traitor's Identity

Since Kaido teased Oden about the traitor in his team, fans were hell-bent on discovering its identity. There are a lot of theories surrounding the individual who allegedly betrayed Oden. But, it looks like if there is indeed a traitor in the Kuri castle, its identity might be unmasked in "One Piece" Chapter 973.

There is a high chance that the retainers of the Daimyo of Wano are all loyal to their master. If Oda would not want to blemish the loyalty of the vassals, he could simply reveal that Orochi's ally Kurozumi Higurashi could be behind all the information leak to the enemy. Higurashi is the owner of Clone Clone Devil Fruit and has the ability to imitate the face of any person.

It is possible that Higurashi was able to extract crucial information from Oden's camp by assuming the identity of the people inside the Kuri castle. No one would think that the person before them is Higurashi since, during that time, people are not fully aware of the different power of the devil fruit. But, Oda could also go into a different path and reveal another painful truth of betrayal in Oden's camp.

Joy Boy Or Luffy

In "One Piece" Chapter 972, Oden's letter to his wife Lady Toki foretells the arrival of the person who would be able to defeat Kaido. Given Oden's knowledge of the poneglyphs, his adventures with Gol D. Roger, and his intimate conversations with the King of the Pirates, the Daimyo of Wano knew that someone with a powerful will would bring annihilation to Kaido and help open the Wano country. It is not about reincarnation, so the theory that Joy Boy would arrive in the upcoming chapter might not happen.
