- The upcoming chapter could offer more evidence of a possible Big Mom Pirates vs Whitebeard Pirates fight
“One Piece” Chapter 993 is just a few days away and rumors have it that it might arrive as scheduled. While many fans are hopeful that a Marco-Big Mom Pirates alliance could have significant implications for opposing parties, the manga’s latest episode killed that hope. Interestingly, the recent meeting of the Whitebeard Pirates’ former first division commander and the yonko and captain of the Big Mom Pirates could foreshadow a secondary war in Onigashima.
Many fan theories on various “One Piece” forums recently surfaced following the meeting of Big Mom and Marco the Phoenix. One of these is that there would be a secondary war in Onigashima, this time with the remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates against the Big Mom Pirates. The fan theory claims that Marco’s position in “One Piece” Chapter 992 hinted that he was blocking Charlotte Linlin’s entrance, which could mean many things.
One possible explanation is that Marco is preparing for the inevitable should Big Mom disagrees with Perospero’s proposal. His position could also mean that Marco is waiting for the arrival of other members of the Whitebeard Pirates who will lend a hand to the alliance. “One Piece” Chapter 992 did not reveal the reason why Big Mom would not want to curt her ties with Kaido.
It is worth mentioning, however, how easily Big Mom convinced Perospero to trust her. It is possible that the eldest son of Charlotte Linlin understood her mother’s ulterior motive for her decision. There is also a chance that Perospero did not understand what his mother was saying and only appeared convinced because he has a plan of his own.
The recent “One Piece” manga installment is titled “Remnants,” which, aside from the Akazaya Nine, could be about the remaining pirates that Edward Newgate used to led. During their conversation, Big Mom insinuated that the remnants of Shirohige became so lost upon learning that Marco is helping Luffy. However, Marco told her that Whitebeard’s words do not bind them and free to do whatever they want.
Another fan theory claims that Marco and Izo are not the only ones involved in the Wano matter. There is a great chance that Marco’s team would show up once the Big Mom Pirates’ crew appears in Onigashima. There are so many antagonists in the story and it is safe to assume that Oda already came up with some ‘plot device’ to offset the number of antagonists.
