The alliance that Luffy forged with Trafalgar Law during the Punk Hazard arc could last until the end of the series if the latest leaked summary of "One Piece" Chapter 996 is to be believed.

The fandom is in for another treat as "One Piece" insiders, particularly Reddit user gyrozepp95, once again shared the full summary of the upcoming chapter. One major revelation that fans should look forward to in the new chapter is about the Hearts Pirates' captain, Law.

While he has proven to be a faithful and trustworthy ally to the Straw Hats, many fans think he would later betray Luffy. However, based on the leaked summary, Law’s betrayal of the Straw Hats might not happen at all.

Law would cut through Kaido’s men and find a Red Poneglyph, probably located underground. He would think of his previous conversation with Nico Robin, where he revealed that his full name was Trafalgar D. Water Law.

The Hearts Pirates’ captain made the revelation because he thought Robin might know the meaning of "D" or "Will of D." However, the Straw Hats’ archeologist told him that she didn't know either but would love to find out. Robin also told Law that the only way to know would be to collect the Red Poneglyphs, implying that they would need to take down the emperors of the sea.

The leaked summary also mentions that Law would stand in front of the Red Poneglyph, thinking about Corazon’s words telling him that the Ds are the natural enemies of the gods. Law would mumble to himself, "Cora-san, I really want to know the true meaning of this unfortunate fate..."

Taking note of this wish, one could easily think that Law intends to discover the meaning behind Corazon’s words and ultimately what the Will of D is about.

The leaked summary hints that Law should work with the Straw Hats or steal Robin from them to achieve his goal. So far, Luffy’s crew is the only team holding the key of the Poneglyphs and that is Nico Robin. Even the Yonkos have no one to read and interpret to them what the inscriptions in those rock steles mean.

But of course, how things will eventually unfold is still up to Eiichiro Oda.
