'One Piece' Chapter 1029: Raw Scans, Release Date And Highlights [Spoilers]

Readers will have to wait a little longer before they could learn more about the status of the war in Onigashima since the release of "One Piece" 1029 would be reportedly delayed as the manga is on a break next week.

Chapter 1028 Highlights

The latest chapter of "One Piece" dropped earlier today and it seemed to lay the foundation for the greatest war in the series that mangaka Eiichiro Oda promised fans. The chapter starts with the CP-0 in the Visitor's Reception room giving updates to their colleagues (Rob Lucci and company) on the current status of the war in Onigashima via den den mushi.

One of the Cipher Pol-0 said the war started with 30,000 strong Beasts Pirates against 5,400 Minks-Pirates-Ninja-Samurai warriors. Right now, Kaido's team only has 12,000 warriors while the opposing side has 8,000 fighters.

Rob Lucci and his group is nearing Wano and he tells the CP-0 agent in Onigashima that the World Government wants to place the closed country under its control if Kaido loses. He also informs the agent of the new order tasking them to capture Nico Robin regardless of the result of the war.

There are only five minutes left before the floating island of Onigashima reaches the Flower Capital and Momonosuke tries his best to create Flame Clouds so the island won't fall on the shogun-ruled region. Meanwhile, Yamato leaves Momo to rid the island of explosives to reduce the potential damage it could cause if it hits the ground.

In the Live Floor, Sanji battled against Queen the Plague who uses all his tricks to defeat the Straw Hats' cook. Sanji realizes his body seemingly healed his injuries and suspects that he has awoken latent powers similar to his siblings.

The chapter ends with Queen the Plague in utter disbelief as his massive sword breaks when it hits Sanji's body.

Chapter 1029 Predictions And Potential Spoilers

"One Piece" 1029 might showcase the continuation of the Zoro vs. King fight. Readers might also learn more about King, which could get his face unmasked as his fight with Zoro continues.

Readers could get an update on Kid and Law vs. Big Mom fight. Chapter 1029 might also shed more light on the current condition of Nami, Usopp, Tama, Jinbei, Brook, Franky and Robin.

In addition to all this, fans might find out more about Orochi, who is still alive but hiding somewhere in Onigashima. The upcoming manga installment might offer a little backstory on how he survived after Kinemon and his fellow scabbards cut all his heads.
