Luffy is down and out but he is holding the memories of his injured allies in his heart. Kaido continues to be a formidable force against Luffy and the rest in "One Piece" Episode 1028.
He vows to keep the promises he made to the samurai he met. Luffy is ready to fight again and this time he is determined to take down the Emperor of the Sea.
Luffy will try to surpass Kaido as the battle continues.
In the last episode, Zoro used his Nine Sword Style and charged toward Kaido. Zoro was able to deflect one of Kaido’s attacks using the sword.
He then used Ashura Bakkei – Moja no Tawamure and wounded Kaido by inflicting a large gash across his chest. Both Law and Kaido were shocked to see Zoro’s attack.
However, the attack took a toll on Zoro and he looked exhausted. Later, Zoro had no choice but to switch to the Three Sword Style. Kaido revealed that Zoro had the ability to use Haoshoku Haki, but Zoro was confused about how to use it.
Meanwhile, Zoro collapsed due to exhaustion and Kaido noted that the former's last attack would leave a scar on his body. Kaido attacked Zoro and Law again and knocked them to the ground.
The Emperor stated that if Law and Zoro had joined his force, they would have ruled the world.
Luffy confronted Kaido and told him that the Worst Generation will never work for him.
“Even after Big Mom was pushed off of the island, Zoro and the others keep fighting the exhausting battle against Kaido. When Kaido tries to beat up the unconscious Luffy, Zoro launches an all-out attack at the risk of his life,” read the official synopsis of Episode 1027, as per Crunchyroll.
"One Piece" Episode 1028, titled "Surpass the Emperor of the Sea! Luffy Strikes Back with an Iron Fist!" is scheduled to air Saturday. Fans in the U.S. can watch the episode online on Crunchyroll, Hulu, Apple TV, Netflix, and Tubi. The anime will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
