'One Piece' Original Anime Episode Featuring Ace's Adventure Leaks Online [Details]
KEY POINTS
- "One Piece" is set to release Episode 1014 on March 6
- The episode's premiere will be reportedly postponed
- Ace is Luffy's older brother who died during the War of the Best
A new and original "One Piece" anime featuring one of Portgas D. Ace's adventures will premiere in March, according to the latest set of leaks.
The leaks came from Twitter user Orojapan1, who has been providing accurate leaks about the series in the past. The user said "One Piece" 1014 TV anime release will be postponed because a new original installment will air on its premiere date.
Apparently, this anime will center on Ace's adventure in Wano, including the time he met Kaido's son Yamato. "NEW :ONE PIECE TV Anime will broadcast an original anime episode on March 6th, narrating the story between Yamato and Ace. The episode 1014 will also be postponed," the tweet reads.
The insider clarified that it is not a filler. "This ain't Anime Original Episode (filler) but only some parts of it are anime only scene," the insider said in a follow-up tweet.
Episode 991 of the anime showed a brief flashback of Yamato's encounter with Ace. The episode ended with Luffy letting out his Red Hawk, which comes with flames.
The flames reminded Yamato of a fight he once had with Luffy's older brother Ace. The brief flashback showed that before Luffy even planned about taking out Kaido, Ace had his eyes on the same goal.
Interestingly, instead of meeting the emperor of the sea, he met the yonko's son. The meeting blossomed into a friendship. The new original "One Piece" episode will most likely reveal details about this.
Fans would definitely not turn down any chance to see Ace once again and revisit one of his adventures, especially in Wano where the manga is currently centered. They might also see Tama in the upcoming anime and perhaps the underlying reason behind Ace's desire to take down Kaido.
Whitebeard, Ace's captain, and Kaido were both pirates under Rocks D. Xebec. It will be interesting to know why he would want him dead or if his plan was backed by Whitebeard. The insider claimed that the original anime will air on March 6 but did not reveal its title.
This latest set of leaks is interesting but fans should temper their expectations in the absence of an official announcement from the "One Piece" team.
