  • Roberto Soldic's ONE debut ends in no contest after accidental low blow
  • Jackie Buntan decisions Amber Kitchen in exciting bout
  • Lowen Tynanes grinds out decision win over Dae Sung Park

Croatian welterweight Roberto Soldic's ONE Championship debut was one of the highly-anticipated parts of the ONE on Prime Video 5 card on Friday, December 2.

Unfortunately, Soldic's maiden ONE appearance ended in an anticlimactic no contest following an accidental low blow against undefeated Russian Murad Ramazanov.

A two-division titleholder under in KSW, Soldic was pegged to be a legitimate contender to the ONE welterweight world championship, which is currently held by two-division king Christian Lee.

Trouble came early for Soldic, however, as he was taken down early by Ramazanov and struggled to spring back to his feet.

Midway through the opening round, Ramazanov had Soldic pressed up on the cage and threw a knee that landed low.

The sound of the knee echoed all over the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila as Soldic crumbled to the canvas in visible pain.

Referee Herb Dean ultimately waived off the bout as Soldic was unable to continue.

While it was truly an unfortunate conclusion to a debut that fans were eager to see, it's highly likely that Soldic and Ramazanov run it back in the future.

Jackie Buntan

In earlier action, Filipino-American Jackie Buntan used a strong third round to pick up a unanimous decision victory over Amber Kitchen of the United Kingdom in a catchweight Muay Thai contest.

Buntan, performing in front of a Filipino crowd for the first time in her career, was on point early as she used an array of punches and kicks to outstrike Kitchen.

"AK 47" battled back in the second round, unleashing her own striking barrage to seemingly knot things up heading into the final frame.

Buntan knocked Kitchen down in the third round and continued to maintain control of the fight to pull ahead on the scorecards.

After three exciting rounds, Buntan earned the nod on all three of the judges' cards for the unanimous decision win.

Buntan bounced back and scored her fourth win under the ONE Championship banner.

She also avenged a prior loss to Kitchen from back in 2017.

In a lightweight showdown, Hawaii's Lowen Tynanes was able to grind out a split decision victory over South Korea's Dae Sung Park.

One of the division's most tenacious grapplers, Tynanes' gameplan against Park was clear, and that was to take the bout to the ground.

The Hawaiian was able to do just that all throughout the bout as he was able to get a hold of Park at will, take him down, take his back, and hold him there for much of the three-round contest.

In the second round, an accidental headbutt opened up a cut on Tynanes' forehead, which turned his face into a crimson mess.

Still, the blood did little to slow Tynanes down as he continued to control Park on the ground en route to the decision win.

At the end of the bout, Tynanes earned the nod on two of the three judges' scorecards.

Tynanes returned to the win column for the first time since 2019 and improved to 11-1 in his career.

Park, meanwhile, dropped his second fight in a row and fell to 11-4.
