OnePlus 5 Specs Now Include Soft Gold Limited Edition Color Option

The OnePlus 5 is available in a new color option as of Monday. The 2017 flagship from Chinese manufacturer OnePlus can now be purchased in Soft Gold for $479.

This particular model is a limited edition, featuring 6 GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, in addition to other standard OnePlus 5 specs, including a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a dual camera setup with a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 20-megapixel telephoto lens, a 3,300mAh battery a USB-C port and Android 7.1.1 Nougat with an OxygenOS overlay.

OnePlus first introduced the Soft Gold color option on the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, which proved popular. However, once the currently available units of the Soft Gold OnePlus 5 have sold out, with will not be restocked.

OnePlus also plans to release a model of its Slate Gray OnePlus 5 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device will sell for $539 and will be available within in the upcoming weeks. The OnePlus 5 is also available in black.

Despite some hiccups amid its launch, including the 911 rebooting bug and the jelly scrolling issue, the OnePlus 5 has gotten rave reviews from many pundits. In particular, the device has been recommended for its for its dual camera. The feature was rated as more powerful than the iPhone 7 camera by camera benchmark DxOmark.
