Opera officially launches today the Opera GX, which is a gaming browser specially made for gamers on macOS. The first-ever gaming browser is now available on early access. The latest browser is a complement to gamers and crafted to enable games to run with as much graphics prowess as possible.

The Opera GX is a special version of the Opera browser that is intended to complement gaming and to help gamers get the most out of gaming and browsing, says Opera. The foundation of the latest gaming browser from Opera is a set of controls that enables users to set the amount of RAM, network bandwidth, and CPU usage the browser can take. In other words, since the browser is running as efficiently as the user wants, the Mac is empowered for games.

Based on a survey Opera conducted, it discovered that gamers are currently facing a couple of issues. These are network limitations and network. These are some of the reasons why Opera GX was developed as it introduces a limiter to control not only network bandwidth, but also CPU and Ram, as mentioned earlier.

As it turns out, 49% of people experience some technical issues: 30% are troubled by network problems, 26% by memory issues and 14% run into CPU trouble. Luckily, this is one of the areas in which Opera GX shines, on both Mac and Windows, offering a unique set of features that help resolve these problems.

Opera GX offers a unique set of features that provides solutions to these problems. The set of browser limiters, which includes a Network Bandwidth Limiter, as well as CPU and RAM Limiters, prevents the browser from becoming resource-hungry. What this means in practice is that everyone's machines are left with more resources for running games.

Interestingly, that is not all there is in Opera GX. The platform also offers extra features oriented to gamers. This includes accessibility to twitch from the sidebar, an integrated messenger, picture in picture mode for viewing streams, ad blocker, VPN, and several other visual options. The Opera GX for macOS is now available for download via the early access mode.
