‘Orange Is The New Black’ Season 3 Spoilers: Marsha Stephanie Blake Posts Behind-The-Scenes Photo Of Corrections Officer Berdie Rogers

The Season 3 “Orange Is the New Black” premiere date has yet to be announced, but that hasn’t kept spoilers for the Netflix installment under complete lockdown. According to reports, Litchfield Penitentiary will be welcoming a new corrections officer during the third season with the casting of actress Marsha Stephanie Blake.

Blake posted several behind-the-scenes photos of her character "Berdie" Rogers in action on her personal Instagram page. Although information about her role has been withheld, we can learn a lot about her character through the pictures Blake leaked on the social media platform. From the Instagram-happy actress we found out the name of her character, along with a glimpse at the several styles we'll see from Blake throughout Season 3 -- girl has got some serious hair game.

Blake, who you may remember from her appearances on “Girls,” “Elementary” and “Django Unchained,” will be making her “OITNB” debut as the CO replacing the character we all loved to hate: Pornstache. As fans remember, Paul Schreiber’s character was last seen being dragged out of Litchfield for allegedly impregnating and having an affair with an inmate when Season 2 concluded. Schreiber then went on to explain that fans shouldn’t hold their breath if they’re waiting to see his character’s storyline unfold.

"I'm a series regular now on a show called 'The Brink' on HBO,” he explained of his new TV endeavor. “But [Pornstache’s] mother is making an appearance on Season 3. Mary Steenburgen has been cast as my mom. I'm not sure what she'll do that will advance the Pornstache plotline, but for now, Mendez is in prison, biding his time. Spoiler alert!"

Steenburgen and Blake will be joined by fellow newcomers Blair Brown and comedian Mike Birbiglia in Season 3. Fans can also anticipate that Season 3 of “OITNB” will surround the theme of faith “to a certain extent,” teased showrunner Jenji Kohan, who added that viewers will expect to see more spicy sex scenes -- specifically one between Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and her ex-girlfriend Alex Voss (Laura Prepon).
