A herd of Kodama oni is set to attack the Samidare Castle that houses the Kosameda Bushi. Kosameda Hideo, leader of Kosameda Bushi, orders his clan to get ready for the attack in "Orient" Episode 5. The new episode is titled "Choosing Tomorrow."

The official website has released the synopsis of Episode 5. Hattori Tsumugi, a member of the Kosameda Bushi, informs Kojiro and Musashi about the arrival of Kodama oni demons.

Kodama oni demons are considered weaker beasts but they are troublesome and exert destructive powers when they attack as a unit.

In "Orient" Episode 5, Hideo gives a certain order to his clan and at the same time, Tsumugi will be forced to take a tough decision. Can Musashi and Kojiro beat the Kodama oni?

Toward the end of the previous episode, Tsumugi, who was bottling up her emotions, opened up in front of Musashi and Kojiro. She told them she doesn’t want Hideo to force ordinary citizens to take up arms against oni.

“Duing the Warring States era, the feuding generals were suddenly struck down one after another by the demonic Kishin. In the 150 years since groups of individuals have continued to resist Kishin control. They are called Bushi bands. When they were young, Musashi and Kojiro would hear tales about the Bushi from Kojiro's father, and the two of them dream to form the strongest Bushi band. One day, as Musashi struggles with his choices, he witnesses humans being torn apart by oni. Forced to face the truth, Musashi rises up against the powerful oni to make his dream with Kojiro come true!” read the official series synopsis, as per Crunchyroll.

The cast of "Orient" anime includes Sōma Saitō as Kojiro Kanemaki, Yuuma Uchida as Musashi, Wataru Hatano as Hideo Kosameda, Satoshi Hino as Naotora Takeda, Saori Ōnishi as Shunrai Yamamoto, Rie Takahashi as Tsugumi Hattori, Katsuyuki Konishi as Jisai Kanemaki, Hiro Shimono as Shirō Inukai, Haruki Ishiya as Aoshi Sanada and Azumi Waki as Nanao Inusaka.
