The second cour of "Orient" anime is here. Musashi and Kanemaki Kojiro are getting ready for their next adventure.
"Orient" Part 2, Episode 1 will reveal Musashi’s unit meeting with the band of Uesugui Bushi and their leader named Uesugi Tatsuomi.
The official trailer of the second part introduces the new members of the Uesugui Bushi as they get ready for a mission.
They are tasked to draw the attention of the lesser oni who roam around Awaji and lure them to a specified location.
"The ferocious battle of Awaji Island begins now!" the official synopsis of "Orient" Part 2 read, according to Crunchyroll. "With the appearance of the all-powerful Kishin, the land of Hinomoto is now dominated by oni, instead of humans. Musashi and Kanemaki Kojiro set out from their hometown swearing to form the strongest Bushi band of all time, and after encountering Hattori Tsugumi on their trip, the three of them found the Kanemaki Bushi. After obtaining the only weapons that can slay oni, Kitetsu Blades, they have taken the first big step towards their dream."
"In Harima, Musashi's group will encounter the massive band of Uesugui Bushi, and their leader Uesugi Tatsuomi. They have gathered to slay the giant Kishin that threatens to consume the Awaji island: Yamata no Orochi, the Artillery Wyrm. Joining them are Takeda Naotora and the Takeda Bushi, along with several Bushi the same age as Musashi like Shimazu Akihiro and Amako Katsumi," it continued.
The synopsis also revealed that a shy princess named Saruwatari Michiru will come into the picture as Musashi and his comrades join the Kishin hunt.
An unstoppable demon god, Yamato no Orochi, will appear and the most dangerous battle of all time will begin.
The anime is based on Shinobu Ohtaka's original story. Tetsuya Yanagisawa is credited for direction while Mariko Kunisawa is handling the series composition.
The music for the series is composed by Hideyuki Fukasawa. Fumio Matsumoto and Takahiro Kishida are the character designers.
"Orient" Part 2, Episode 1 is airing Monday. Fans in the U.S. can watch the episode online on Crunchyroll. The episode will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
