‘The Originals’ Season 2: Phoebe Tonkin Gets Fit For Fangs
It looks like we’re not the only ones excited to see Hayley take on the role of a hybrid during Season 2 of the hit CW series, “The Originals.” According to TV Line, Phoebe Tonkin, who portrays Hope’s mama, is pretty stoked to transform herself into a moon-howling, blood-sucking creature.
“I’m so excited, they’ve already fitted me for fangs,” the 24-year-old beauty confessed. And we have a feeling she’ll be using those tiny daggers in the sophomore season of Julie Plec’s drama – especially now that she has a child of her own to protect.

“I’ve always wanted to play a vampire, so I couldn’t be more thrilled,” Tonkin continued.
Who will be taking Hayley under their wing – or should we say cape – to teach her the ways of the vampires? While we initially thought Elijah would make the perfect mentor, Tonkin teased otherwise, saying that fans might be surprised to find out who holds her hand through this transition.
“It’ll be interesting to see who she strikes up relationships with during this journey,” she said. “Maybe she and Klaus could form an unexpected friendship.”
"The Originals" Get A New Villain In Season 2!
Say what! The last time we saw those two head-butting parents, they were attempting to clean up the mess they made in New Orleans so that one day their daughter could come home to a safe environment. But, c’mon! We’re not that naïve. There’s no such thing as “safety” in Plec’s series.
In fact, Tonkin went on to say that fans could expect to see a much darker Season 2 and a “very broken Hayley.”
“She doesn’t know who she is anymore. She not only doesn’t know where she came from, she doesn’t know who she is right now. It’s sad and it’s heartbreaking,” the actress revealed to !EOnline.

But thankfully Hayley will have both her werewolf pack and new vampire clan to help her through this shift in her life, right? Unfortunately, that’s wishful thinking. Now that Hayley is a hybrid, she’s no longer a fit to be her pack’s queen. She’ll have to say goodbye to the life she once knew and embrace her new vampire ways.
