‘The Originals’ Season 2 Spoilers: Episode 1 Promo Photos Released Online
“The Originals” will be returning for its Season 2 premiere on Oct. 6, and the recently released promo images for episode 1, “Rebirth,” tease that fans of the hit CW series will be dying to sink their teeth into the sophomore season’s juicy plot.
The promotional photos show that “The Originals” will start off Season 2 with a bang -- or should we say a bite -- as Klaus and Hayley attempt to rid New Orleans of evil so their daughter can return home. In the Season 1 finale the hybrid parents faked the death of their daughter and sent her away to live with Aunt Rebekah so that Hope had a fighting chance of surviving. According to the plot of Julie Plec’s spooky series, a coven of witches, including Hope’s very own grandmother Esther, want the child dead after it was predicted Hope would be the end of all witches.
“The ultimate goal for Klaus and Hayley -- and Elijah -- is to get this child back at some point, so they have to take down all the evil before they’re able to do that,” Claire Holt revealed during a Season 2 sneak peek video.
Although Joseph Morgan teased that Klaus and Hayley will become “strangers” since the loss of their daughter, they’ll have to come together if they plan on baby-proofing New Orleans from the witches craving their child’s death. The newbie hybrid will depend on Klaus to show her the ropes of living as a half-vampire, half-werewolf.
From previous promo videos it’s been revealed that Hayley doesn’t quite know how to control her vampire-hunger, which has been paired up with her werewolf rage. And for those fans hoping this teacher-student relationship could spark a romance – you may want to think again. Actress Phoebe Tonkin teased that there will be no lovey-dovey scenes between these two characters.
Just see for yourself! Check out the premiere promo images for episode 1, "Rebirth,” and let us know your predictions for the new season of "The Originals." Season 2 will premiere on the CW Monday, Oct. 6, at 8 p.m. EDT.
