‘The Originals’ Season 2 Spoilers: Episode 8 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In ‘The Brothers That Care Forgot’?

Everyone’s favorite blonde vampire is back! Claire Holt will reprise her role of Auntie Rebekah in Season 2, episode 8 of "The Originals." According to star Joseph Morgan, Rebekah’s return will come with great levity. Phew! Finally -- a family reunion that doesn’t require blood shed.

“There’s some really great moments of levity and also some heartwarming stuff when the family comes back together,” the actor who plays the vicious role of Klaus said during an interview with TVLine. Morgan continued to explain that Holt will appear in two installments of “The Originals” before the show goes on winter break -- both episode 8 and 9 (which Morgan revealed is a holiday-themed).

So, will Auntie Rebekah have a car seat with her when she returns to New Orleans? Released promo images of episode 8 teased that Rebekah will be traveling with a companion -- and a tiny one at that. Yes, that’s right! Baby Hope will be reuniting with her family for the first time since the Season 1 finale.

“Rebekah, who has spent months away living a normal life with baby Hope, finds herself on the run when she realizes Esther (Sonja Sohn) has uncovered her whereabouts,” the synopsis teases.

The only question is: Who told Esther about where Rebekah is? Theories have hinted maybe Elijah (Daniel Gillies) had something to do with his mother’s new information -- he was, after all, under her spell. Perhaps he still is. But all Morgan was willing to tease was this tidbit: “I can only speculate that [Rebekah’s] return may mean they’re not as safe as they thought they were.”

Because of the new threat, Klaus will look to his brothers Finn (Gatewood) and Kol (Daniel Sharman) to become powerful allies in taking down Esther. And while it may be easy to persuade the witch who is smitten with Davina (Danielle Campbell), Klaus might have a harder time trying to convince his momma’s boy of a brother, Finn, to turn against their menacing mother.

Lastly, the summary for episode 8 of "The Originals" reveals that Hayley will become conflicted when she and Jackson (Nathan Parsons) “stumble upon an ancient ritual that would get their werewolf packs out from under Esther’s control.” The only problem is, this will require Hayley to make a “tremendous sacrifice.” We can feel her anxiety now!
