'The Originals’ Season 2 Spoilers: Freya Reveals Bad News About Rebekah's Fate In Episode 17 Sneak Peek Video
The race to save Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Seller) is on! When fans last saw Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) dear sister in episode 16 of “The Originals” Season 2, she was experiencing an extreme amount of suffering at the hands of a witch whose body she inhabited. But little did Rebekah know just how powerful the evil enchantress whose body she was borrowing was.
Unbeknownst to Rebekah, the murderous Eva Sinclair had resumed control of her body at night, which resulted in various attacks and missing children all across New Orleans. Eva is a witch with a taste for the blood and power and drains the magic from the bodies of her sorcerer-victims like Davina (Danielle Campbell) before killing them.
As you can imagine, this has left the people of NOLA in a frenzy. They want their children to be safe and for the kidnappings to end, but to achieve that goal, they’ll need to kill Eva. According to Freya (Riley Voelkel), that plan isn’t beneficial in any way, shape or form for Rebekah who is trapped underneath Eva’s skin. If the evil witch is killed before Rebekah’s soul is freed from the vessel, then “Rebekah will be gone forever," Freya says in a promo video for episode 17.
And that’s not all the bad news Freya has to reveal. In a recently released sneak peek video for “Exquisite Corpse," Freya explains to her brother just how complicated setting Rebekah’s soul free is.
“You said that you could put Rebekah back in her original body -- do it,” Klaus commands, before explaining that Eva has resumed control of her body, “leaving Rebekah trapped and powerless.” He then orders his immortal sister to put Rebekah back in her true body.
“I’m afraid it’s not that simple,” Freya says, to which Klaus responds with a bone-chilling threat.
“More stalling? Very well,” Klaus begins. “I know I can’t kill you but I shall have a fine time trying. Tell me have you ever been skinned alive?”
Do you think the Mikaelson’s will be able to save Rebekah before Eva Sinclair is killed? Sound off in the comments section below with your theories before episode 17, “Exquisite Corpse” airs on Monday, April 6, at 8 p.m. EDT on the CW.
