‘The Originals’ Season 3 Spoilers: Rebecca Breeds and Andrew Lees Cast To Play Troublesome Vampires
New Orleans just got a little more crowded! When “The Originals” returns for a third season this fall, viewers of the hit CW drama will be introduced to a few new faces – or should we say new fangs? – throughout the bustling streets of the Big Easy.
TVLine reports that the Julie Plec’s supernatural series will welcome two vampires to Season 3 of “The Originals” – a sexy vamp named Aurora and a calculating creature called Lucien. Not only is Aurora set to be easy on the eyes, she’s also described as a character who is capable of pretty dark things. Likewise, Lucien will have grim qualities, too, as he makes his NOLA debut with a vendetta against the Mikaelson clan.
The role of Lucien will be played by “The Pacific” actor Andrew Lees, according to the Hollywood Reporter who added that the newcomer will specifically have a bone to pick with Klaus (Joseph Morgan). But what makes this feud particularly interesting is that Lucien happens to be a member of Klaus’ sire line, which means if the vampire wants to send his creator six feet under, he better dig a grave for himself, too!
“Pretty Little Liars” actress Rebecca Breeds will portray the “seductive, witty and free-spirited” vampire Aurora. But partygoers be warned! Despite Aurora’s love for a good time, she can quickly turn on a dime, releasing a seriously dangerous and violent side.
Thankfully the city’s newest detective Will Kinney (played by “Veronica Mars” alum Jason Dohring) will be on the case in an attempt to keep the blood-sucking creatures in line. The “good-natured” cop will be determined to clean up New Orleans from its crooked and corrupt ways. But little does the 5-0 know that the blood being spilled throughout the streets of New Orleans is partially caused by the supernatural entities.
Will the police officer be able to put a stop do the deadly chaos? Audiences will find out when “The Originals” returns with its Season 3 premiere on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 9 p.m. EDT on the CW.
