‘Originals’ Season 5 Spoilers: Is Caroline In Series Finale? See Set Photos

Candice King isn’t a series regular in the final season of “The Originals,” but it seems like she’ll be around plenty as Caroline in Season 5. New photos show her on the set during the series finale.

Julie Plec, executive producer of the CW vampire drama, posted the photo Thursday night. That means Caroline will be in the final episode of “The Originals.”

Thursday is the show’s last day of filming, according to an Instagram post from fellow cast member Phoebe Tonkin. The Hayley actress wished her friends luck, making it sound like she had already wrapped filming.

The actors are in New Orleans to film the final scenes. Though the show has taken place there for five seasons, “The Originals” mostly films in Atlanta. It seems they’ll be getting some exterior shots in the actual city for the last episode. King is indeed in the Big Easy. She confirmed her arrival in New Orleans hours earlier with another Instagram post.

King has a personal attachment to the city. She and husband Joe King were married there three years ago. They had a French Quarter wedding, which included a parade down the streets of New Orleans with a band.

In “The Originals,” however, King’s character Caroline might be finding love. She and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) had plenty of tension in “The Vampire Diaries.” In the sister show’s series finale last spring, Klaus did not appear, but he wrote a letter to Caroline with a donation to her new school for supernatural kids.

“I do look forward to thanking you in person someday… However long it takes,” he wrote. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to get fans excited.

Caroline and Klaus definitely have a group of fans that want to see them end up together, and they might just get their wish. Set photos from New Orleans show Klaus and Caroline looking close.

When “The Originals” Season 5 returns to The CW, about a decade will have passed. Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) will be attending the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted, and Klaus will be unable to see his daughter in order to protect her from the Hollow. Caroline will likely be helping Klaus check in on his little girl.

However, it seems they’ll get into other adventures too. In addition to her appearances in the season premiere and series finale, Caroline will head to Europe to help Klaus and Rebekah (Claire Holt) out of a rough situation.

“The Originals” Season 5 does not yet have a premiere date.
