‘The Originals’ Spoilers: Joseph Morgan Tweets Photo From ‘Vampire Diaries’ Spin Off
“The Originals” is shaping up to be a red-hot new television series when it premieres on the CW this fall. How do we know that? Klaus’ Joseph Morgan took to Twitter to share a photograph from the set of “The Vampire Diaries” spin-off!
While Morgan didn’t reveal anything else about the photo, he definitely left us a little concerned by the way that the shoe print is glowing -- kind of like embers. Fans of “The Vampire Diaries” know Klaus to be cruel and generally unforgiving. When viewers briefly met his protege Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) in the backdoor pilot that aired toward the end of the fourth season of “The Vampire Diaries,” it was clear he is just as deadly as Klaus, and we wouldn’t put it past him to wear metal shoes and brand people with their soles.
No matter what the shoe print is hinting at, Davis’ character will definitely be showing a couple different sides this fall besides his dangerous one. Peisha McPhee, vocal coach and mother of “Smash’s” Katherine McPhee, tweeted about him over the weekend:
When a “Vampire Diaries” fan inquired about Marcel singing again when “The Originals” premieres, McPhee replied:
And Davis isn’t the only one working hard on set. Morgan is currently juggling two roles. He took to his Twitter account this week to explain that he got offered the leading role in the forthcoming flick “Dermaphoria” while he was filming “The Originals” episode in New Orleans:
“Dermaphoria” is an adaptation of Craig Clevenger’s cult novel. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie is “’Memento’ meets ‘Breaking Bad.’” The film is about a chemist, played by Morgan, who wakes up in jail with amnesia after a drug-lab explosion. He will reportedly be “trapped between cops who want to arrest him and heavies who will stop at nothing to get the formula buried deep inside his head.” To throw a little more fuel on the fire, Morgan’s character will also be trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together while searching for his missing girlfriend.
