The popularity over one rather small (though still highly important) character in Disney’s “The Mandalorian” has become increasingly front and center in modern pop culture. Even “Saturday Night Live” riffed on the mass media commotion, what with an immense amount of Baby Yoda memes circulating on the internet while hungry fans wait desperately for their Baby Yoda merch to be produced in time for Christmas.

The little green force-sensitive infant has truly become an internet sensation. Though, while fans may have come to adore Baby Yoda, one “Star Wars” actor seems to have taken a disliking to “The Mandalorian” character. In an interview with news.com.au, Oscar Isaac and John Boyega talk being in the final entry of the Skywalker saga, as well as who’s cuter: BB-8 or Baby Yoda.

“BB-8,” said Isaac without hesitation. “I’m not into the Baby Yoda thing.” Boyega’s disbelief and following question, “Have you watched ‘The Mandalorian’?” only urges Isaac to add fuel to the fire. “Kill it. Stamp it. Smush it,” adds Isaac with conviction.

The internet trolls and “Star Wars” fanatics are now hot for Isaac, who only just recently claimed he never felt like a “Star Wars” insider to Variety. The memes themselves coming out of the “Isaac wants to kill Baby Yoda” fiasco have already exploded, with some even siding with the 40-year-old star, while more than most remain on the itty green infant’s.

Given the fact that BB-8 serves as Poe Dameron’s (Isaac’s) companion throughput the sequel trilogy of “Star Wars,” it makes sense that Isaac would side with his droid counterpart over the internet-crazed Baby Yoda. Still, much of the “Star Wars” fanbase is simply not having it, canceling Isaac at all costs.

One fan goes so far as to call the Isaac Baby Yoda fiasco "the biggest betrayal of 2019."

As many fans joke on Isaac killing or eating Baby Yoda, others simply call it jealously. Maybe Isaac does just want a real baby companion over his droid BB-8?

Even “The Mandalorian” star Pedro Pascal added to the fun on Monday with his own photograph of Isaac holding up a picture of Baby Yoda.

Return to a galaxy far, far away this Friday with the release of "The Rise of Skywalker" and an all-new episode of "The Mandalorian" hits Disney+ on Wednesday.
