Oscars 2012: Michelle Williams Wows in Red Louis Vuitton Dress That Took 300 Hours to Make [PHOTOS]
Michelle Williams wore a radiant red Louis Vuitton gown on the Red Carpet at the 84th Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood. The beautiful dress allegedly took over 300 hours to make at the French designer's atelier in Paris.
The strapless Louis Vuitton dress had a peplum waist and a small bow at the Oscar nominated actress' right hip. Sporting a short, blonde pixie cut, Williams paired the red dress with a Fred Leighton Foervermark necklace, featuring 30 carats worth of diamonds, and a deep red lipstick.
According to InStyle.com, Louis Vuitton said the burnt orange dress was made with silk mousseline and organza ribbons. The color of the dress has been highly debated with some calling it coral or pink while others believe it is closer to a red or pomegranate.
In an acceptance speech at the Film Independent Spirit Awards Saturday, Williams told the audience she had felt like a Hollywood misfit throughout her career. The former Dawson's Creek actress told the Los Angeles Times that she felt more like a better-dressed misfit at Sunday's Academy Awards.
Williams was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar at the Academy Awards Sunday for her role playing Marilyn Monroe in My Week with Marilyn. The Oscar for Best Actress went to Meryl Streep for her role in The Iron Lady.
