Oscars 2020 Live Stream: Watch Red Carpet And Ceremony Online Or On TV
The biggest night in Hollywood will be available to see from anywhere with an internet connection. The 2020 Oscars live stream is easy to watch, and there are plenty of ways to see the red carpet pre-shows too.
The 92nd Oscars will be held on Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, California, and fans can watch live on TV on ABC at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST. Those who want to see the Oscars live stream, however, just need to go to ABC’s website the ABC app (available on DirecTV Now, Hulu, PlayStation Vue and YouTube TV) to watch. Log in information from a cable provider may be necessary.
However, everyone knows that the red carpet is way more exciting than the Academy Awards themselves. “The Oscars Red Carpet Show” is the official pre-show on ABC, and it’ll kick off at 6:30 p.m. EST. Like the show, viewers can either watch online or on TV. Emmy winner Billy Porter, talk show host Tamron Hall, model Lily Aldridge and film critic Elvis Mitchell will guide viewers through the fashion, interviews and films of the night.
Ryan Seacrest will join them at 7:30 p.m. EST, but that’ll be after he wraps up his other red carpet gig on E! Live From The Red Carpet duties. The cable network starts their coverage at 1 p.m. EST with “E! Countdown to the Red Carpet: Oscars 2020.” Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic will host "Live from the Red Carpet" starting at 5 p.m. EST. Tune in on the E! channel or the NBC website to watch. (NBCUniversal owns the E! network.) Again, this live stream may require log in details from your cable provider.
Plus, fans can check out tons of behind-the-scenes action. “Oscars All Access: Red Carpet Live” will live stream exclusively on The Academy’s Twitter. Host Louis Virtel will be joined by actress Sydney Park and social media correspondent Natalia Perez to break down all the live footage from 10 different cameras placed strategically on the red carpet.
Though the Oscars are once again host-less, there will still be plenty of big stars on the 2020 red carpet and ceremony live streams. Academy Awards presenters include Tom Hanks, Oscar Isaac, Sandra Oh, Natalie Portman, Chris Rock, Taika Waititi, Salma Hayek, Brie Larson, Spike Lee, Ray Romano, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mahershala Ali, James Corden, Steve Martin, Keanu Reeves, Maya Rudolph, Timothée Chalamet, Will Ferrell, Gal Gadot, Mindy Kaling, Olivia Colman, Penélope Cruz, Beanie Feldstein, Regina King and Rami Malek.
