Oscars Red Carpet Live Stream: When And Where To Watch Celebrity Arrivals
The best part of every awards show happens before it even starts. The red carpet is where all the action is, so Academy Awards audiences will want to tune in for the Oscars pre-show.
“Oscars Live on the Red Carpet” starts Sunday at 6:30 p.m. EST on ABC. A live stream of the red carpet will be available on ABC’s website, but viewers will still need login information from their cable provider to watch the 90-minute program.
Model Ashley Graham, television personality Maria Menounos, journalist Elaine Welteroth and actor Billy Porter (“Pose”) will anchor ABC’s official Oscars red carpet special. The ladies will talk to all the celebs walking down the red carpet before heading into the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood. Porter, meanwhile, is set to give viewers the fashion lowdown. At 7:30 p.m. EST, Ryan Seacrest will join the hosts for their final half-hour.
First, however, Seacrest has duties with “E! Live From The Red Carpet.” That Oscars special runs from 5:30 p.m. EST to 7:30 p.m. EST on the E! network. Seacrest will host alongside Giuliana Rancic.
Of course, that’s just the actual red carpet. E! starts broadcasting live long before celebrities have even started to arrive. The comprehensive pre-red carpet show starts at 1 p.m. EST.
Watch all of the E! pre-show coverage (and an 11 p.m. EST aftershow) on TV or online. Fans can live stream the specials at E! Online, but they’ll need login information from their cable provider.
There will be another Oscars red carpet special that does not require a cable provider. “Oscars All Access: Red Carpet Live” will be hosted by actress Laura Marano, and entertainment journalist Louis Virtel, and they will bring Twitter questions to the stars. ESPN and ABC News correspondent Chris Connelly will greet the celebs as they arrive at the Academy Awards. Watch the ceremony starting at 6:30 p.m. EST on the Academy's Twitter page.
The Oscars are set to be a star-studded affair. Nominees include stars like Lady Gaga, Emma Stone, Rami Malek, Regina King, Mahershala Ali and more. The presenters will bring even more star power to the ceremony. Michael B. Jordan, Krysten Ritter, Paul Rudd, Chris Evans, Tina Fey, Brie Larson, Jason Momoa and Jennifer Lopez are going to be handing out Oscars.
Now that you know how to watch, be sure to complete your red carpet viewing party with the right snacks and printable ballots for your guests.
The 2019 Academy Awards air Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
