Ostrich Running Through Chinese City Streets: Watch As Bird Escapes From Zoo In Zhangzhou And Gets Hit Twice By Traffic [VIDEO]

An ostrich escaped from a zoo in Zhangzhou, Fujian and went loose across the streets of a Chinese city running against traffic, getting hit twice by vehicles, only to pick itself up and keep running. The ostrich was finally caught after the local police recruited the help of the zoo that the ostrich escaped from, since they didn't have the experience necessary to catch it.

The Zhangzhou police released a map of the route the ostrich took, about 6 kilometers before it was eventually caught. According to the news report, the ostrich was unharmed after its crazy day in the city. Watch the bird’s flight from the zoo here.
