‘OUAT’ Spoilers: Will Emma And Hook End Up Together? Jennifer Morrison Teases Captain Swan Romance
Captain Swan shippers were overjoyed when Emma Swan and Hook shared their first on-screen kiss in Season three of “Once Upon a Time,” and again, when he tried to revive her memory during the mid-season’s finale last December. While “OUAT” creators won’t reveal their exact plans for the savior and the swash-buckling pirate's romance, fans of the duo will be happy to hear that the fictional pair is reportedly on the right path to achieving their happily ever after.
“[Hook] is definitely becoming a part of her life,” actress Jennifer Morrison, who portrays the ABC series lead Emma Swan revealed to E! News Wednesday, confirming that both she and her co-star, actor Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook/Killian Jones), will be sharing more screen time throughout the remainder of Season three.
"Hook will definitely be instrumental in helping Emma face the Wicked Witch,” said Morrison, also hinting that she may learn a thing or two from the former villain. “[He is] helping Emma accept parts of herself, accept the magic that she has and using it in the ways that she needs to in order to protect everyone,” she said.
So will Emma And Hook eventually end up together? While Morrison, 34, did give exact details on the future of her on-screen romance, she did hint that the recent passing of Emma’s longtime love Neal (played by Michael Raymond-James), has opened the way for a future relationship with Hook.
“Obviously Neal having died recently has changed things," said Morrison. "[Neal] giving the permission to find Tallahassee with someone else and maybe find her happiness with someone else has changed things too, but we still have a lot to go through."
While Morrison's comments may give hope to Captain Swan shippers, their long-awaited union might not occur on the series in the near future. According to “OUAT” co-creator and producer Adam Horowitz, viewers will have to be patient when it comes to seeing another Emma/Hook kiss.
“Their relationship is continuing to develop and grow, but right now, both of them are embroiled in something beyond romance,” Horowitz recently told E! News.
“Once Upon a Time" airs Sundays at 8/7C on ABC. Check out a sneak peek of the upcoming Emma/Hook encounter in next week's episode "The Jolly Roger" on ABC Network’s official YouTube channel here.
