Oukitel K4000 2016 Edition With New Max UI To Launch On June 6 For $85
The Oukitel K4000 that features a 4,000 mAh battery was launched last year. The smartphone was praised not only for its large-sized battery but also for its pure Android experience. The Chinese firm has launched a new Oukitel K4000 2016 edition that sports the same specs as the original model but features a Max UI interface.
The new Max UI brings a minimalist approach to the arrangement of apps. On the home screen, it features only 5 apps whereas the bottom portion of the display has three fixed apps.
Users can easily add frequently used apps on the home screen. It also features 8 hot keys that can used as a speed dial for frequently accessed contacts. It brings along a huge dial pad that occupies 80 percent of the screen, Beta News reported. According to Oukitel, the 2016 K4000 is world’s smartphone to offer such a convenient user interface for daily use.
Most Chinese smartphones come with custom UI overlaid over the Android OS. For instance, Xiaomi uses MIUI and Huawei smartphones feature Emotion UI. The smartphone features a shatterproof display of 5 inches. The company has released a YouTube video that shows the toughness of the screen by using it as a hammer to drive nails on wood.
