'Out Of The Woods' Video: Everything We Know About Taylor Swift's New Year's Eve Premiere
Taylor Swift ruled 2014. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter's album "1989" debuted to record breaking sales. Swift's success did not slow down in 2015, as singles from the album continued to dominate the charts as she collected awards at the VMAs and became the subject of a "1989" cover album from Ryan Adams. Well, Swift seems determined to make 2016 her year as well with the New Year's Eve debut of the video for her song "Out of the Woods."
Here's everything we know so far about the "Out of the Woods" debut:
1. Where And When To Watch
The video will debut on ABC's "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest," hosted by Ryan Seacrest, of course, Thursday. The big New Year's Eve special begins at 8 p.m. EST on ABC, but an exact time for Swift's video's debut has yet to be announced. Viewers will likely have to stay tuned and be patient.
2. "Out Of The Woods"
Fans first heard "Out of the Woods" just before the release of the "1989" album when Swift previewed the track on "Good Morning America." It will become the sixth official single on the album on New Year's Eve, but has already reached as high as 18 on the Billboard U.S. Hot 100.
Swift has said the song is about "the fragility and breakable nature of some relationships. This was a relationship where I was kind of living day-to-day wondering where it was going, if it was going to go anywhere, if it was going to end the next day."
3. The Video Will Be In The Woods
It looks like the "Out of the Woods" video will be pretty literal. A teaser image for the video shows Swift outside and covered in mud with matted hair in her eyes, giving a pretty intense stare to the camera.
"Are we out of the woods yet?" read Swift's caption on Twitter.
4. Grammys Performance
In September, Swift performed "Out of the Woods" acoustically to close her show at the Grammy Museum as part her exhibit, The Taylor Swift Experience.
