'OutDaughtered' Stars Danielle And Adam Busby Donate Toys To Hurricane Harvey Victims
Danielle Busby and Adam Busby shared their blessings to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
On Saturday, the "OutDaughtered" stars, who are parents to the only all-female quintuplets in the United States, donated educational toys and games worth $75,000 to Hurricane Harvey victims, ABC 13 reported. The couple teamed up with educational toy company Learning Resources over the summer, which helped them donate over 1,500 sets of toys and games to local families who are all recovering from the tropical storm at Lighthouse Christian Ministries in Bacliff, Texas.
"Yesterday marks a special day in my book! Adam and I partnered with @learningresources a few months ago to help show parents how easy and simple it can be to teach your kids through play," Danielle wrote on Instagram. "Then...Hurricane Harvey hit and there were so many families that lost everything, including toys. Learning Resources gave us $75k worth of toys for the Harvey victims!!!!!"
The TLC stars are hoping that the educational resources will help and entertain the children who missed school due to Hurricane Harvey. A number of celebrities have also reached out to the victims after the catastrophe. In fact, Jennifer Garner flew to Houston to meet the children who were affected by the typhoon.
The "Miracles from Heaven" star shared her encounter with the kids on Instagram where she had nothing but praises for their big hearts and strong spirit. "Today I was inspired by the huge hearts in Texas. There is a generosity of spirit that gets lost in political rhetoric, but-- people come together in a time of crisis. You know what's beautiful? Children look for light," Garner wrote in the caption. "We have to protect our kids and we have to learn from them."
Meanwhile, Danielle and Adam are hard at work tending to their six children. The couple are parents to 6-year-old daughter Blake Louise and 2-year-old quintuplets Ava Lane, Olivia Marie, Hazel Grace, Riley Paige and Parker Kate. In Danielle's recent post on Instagram, the family was out for grocery. The photo features two push carts that are already filled with their children. "That time again....'Busby Train' at Sams Club #parentlife #hopetherearesamples #itsabuzzworld #outdaughtered," she wrote in the caption.
Although couple's hands are full with their six children, work and household chores, Danielle was recently able to find time to catch up with her girlfriends. Last week, Danielle took a break from her daughters and enjoyed a lunch out to celebrate a friend's birthday.
Danielle shared a photo of their outing on Instagram. "Words can't describe how thankful I am for the girl in the middle of this picture. Even though it's been 10 years of friendship with you... I still don't know what the heck you are saying or meaning sometimes," she wrote in the caption while adding that the celebrant's birthday lunch "did not disappoint" her.
