'Outlander' Season 1 Spoilers: Episode Titles Released; What Do They Reveal About Future Episodes?
“Outlander” fans have been getting spoiled with teasers for the coming season lately, and the scoops just keep coming. Now viewers can analyze the titles of the coming episodes, SpoilerTV reports. Some are too vague to understand, but a few give away major details. Those who know spoilers from the original books can figure out a few more specifics, especially since some episodes' titles come from chapter titles. Don’t have time to analyze and research? We did it for you:
Episode 9 – “The Reckoning”
In the midseason premiere, Jamie (Sam Heughan) will obviously be a force to be reckoned with against Black Jack (Tobias Menzies). After all, the steamy trailer showed that he gets Claire (Caitriona Balfe) back.
Episode 10 – “By the Pricking of My Thumbs”
This is a reference to Shakespeare’s “Macbeth,” and it’s probably no coincidence that it comes from a character who is a witch. If the show follows Diana Gabaldon’s books, Claire will be accused of witchcraft.
Episode 11 – “The Devil's Mark”
This is a little too vague for us to understand, but it certainly seems ominous. We’d imagine the witchcraft question won’t last just one episode, so perhaps this is connected.
Episode 12 – “Lallybroch”
Lallybroch is Jamie’s home. It’s the estate his mother and father owned, so it makes sense that he’d have to go back eventually. He would want to show his wife his real home.
Episode 13 – “The Watch”
While this is also a little too vague, we imagine Jamie will have to keep watch to make sure no one betrays him at home. He is a wanted fugitive, which is why he was with the MacKenzies to begin with. He has to be in hiding.
Episode 14 – “The Search”
Who is searching for whom? Could the English go after Jamie or Claire again? Is Claire still looking for a way to get home? Is Frank still searching for Claire? There might be more than one search taking place in this episode.
Episode 15 – “Wentworth Prison”
Wentworth Prison is where Jamie will end up. The wanted man couldn’t run forever, but Claire can’t just leave him in prison.
Episode 16 – “To Ransom a Man's Soul”
Jamie’s freedom might come at a price. We’re guessing that this episode, the season finale, will end in a major cliffhanger if it’s anything like the midseason finale.
