'Outlander' Season 1 Spoilers: Watch Jamie Deal with Pre-Wedding Jitters Before He Marries Claire In A Sneak Peek Video From Episode 7

A new sneak peek for “Outlander” Season 1 episode 7 shows that Jamie isn’t quite as calm and collected as he seemed in episode 6. This the episode that fans of the book series have been waiting for: Jamie and Claire’s wedding. However, Jamie can’t help but think of his mother as he embarks upon this major milestone.

In the sneak peek, Jamie asks Murtagh what he thinks about Claire. Murtagh seems pretty neutral about his fiancée. Jamie asks, “Think my mother would’ve approved?”

Murtagh sarcastically asks if Jamie thinks Murtagh has magical powers that would allow him to communicate with the dead. However, Murtagh sees how sullen Jamie is and softens up a bit. He asks to see Jamie’s brooch, and it makes him a little sentimental.

“Your mother had the sweetest smile. Warmed a man to the back bone just to see it. Claire’s smile is just as sweet,” he says.

Jamie won’t be the only one nervous on the big day. As previously reported, Claire will be feeling very conflicted. She has to marry Jamie so that Capt. Black Jack Randall can’t legally force her to come back to England, but she is still married to Frank in the 1940s. It’s a sacrifice she’ll have to make to stay alive, but part of Claire might feel guilty because she doesn’t mind being married to Jamie.
