‘Outlander’ Season 4 Spoilers: Episode 9 Synopsis, Video And Photos

It’s the moment “Outlander” fans have been waiting to see. Jamie will finally meet Brianna, his daughter, in Season 4, episode 9 of the Starz drama, but a happy reunion cannot make Brianna forget about her recent trauma.

However, Brianna (Sophie Skelton) will still be processing the events of last week. Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speleers) raped Brianna when she offered to buy back her mother’s wedding ring. The episode, titled “The Birds and the Bees” will pick up moments after Brianna’s trauma.

“As Brianna struggles to compartmentalize the trauma she’s suffered in the wake of the tragedy that befell her in Wilmington, she refocuses on finding her parents and hits a stroke of good luck, discovering that Jamie and Claire are in town as well,” the synopsis teases.

As viewers saw last week, Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) came to town to go to the theater and visited Fergus (Cesar Domboy) and Marsali (Lauren Lyle). However, they did not cross paths with Brianna. Don’t worry, the synopsis confirms that Jamie and Claire will see their daughter and bring her to their home. Of course, it isn’t quite that easy.

“The newly reunited family returns to Fraser’s Ridge, where Jamie bonds with Brianna, until dark secrets threaten to tear the Frasers apart,” Starz’s summary teases.

Skelton previously hinted that Brianna would still be comprehending her trauma when she meets Jamie, and she still has some guilt about meeting her biological father when Frank (Tobias Menzies) is the man that raised her.

“I know a lot of people want a quick fix and a sort of reunion between Jamie and Brianna,” she told Vanity Fair. “But I think people have to remember that Frank really did raise Bree and he did a very good job. There’s that guilt she feels going back. She feels like she’s betraying him.”

That’s not the only problem, though. Roger (Richard Rankin) will run into Bonnet again, and the promo video reveals that Bonnet expects the Scotsman to return to the ship.

A sneak-peek video on TVLine makes it clear that Bonnet expects Roger to go to Philadelphia with him, and Roger really does not have much of a choice after the pirate threatens him.
